Minor in Global Labor Studies
Undergraduates enrolled at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign may apply for the minor in Global Labor Studies.
Through the Global Labor Studies online courses, students analyze issues facing workers and labor unions. Courses look at the interplay of class, gender, race and labor organizations in the workplace, economy and political arena from a multidisciplinary and global perspective.
Minor Requirements
A minor in Global Labor Studies requires 18 credit hours. A minimum grade point average of 2.75 is required for completion of the minor. All courses must be taken for a grade. More information can be found on the Course Descriptions page.

How to Apply
The School of Labor and Employment Relations accepts the Statement of Intent to Pursue a Campus-Approved Minor as the official application form. Students must be in academic good standing (2.0 GPA or higher). Only students officially admitted by the School of Labor and Employment Studies may pursue the minor. Planning to pursue a Global Studies minor does not offer special registration privileges.
